Gala, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?

My optimism comes from the surprising and inspiring generosity displayed by my community partners in firearm suicide prevention. As one example: one of our firearm retailer partners, Caleb Morse, is a combat Veteran who has lost friends to firearm suicide and is intent to help firearm owners in need to prevent losing anyone else. He continually helps anyone who comes to his store, The Rustic Renegade in Lafayette Louisiana, never turning away anyone in need no matter how busy he is or how long it takes to help. And he is not the only one— over the past 5 years, I’ve met dozens of firearms professionals like Caleb who are willing to give of their time, energy, and sometimes their money to help prevent firearm suicides in our community. …
